What they don’t know is that it have many vacation places that should definitely be considered putting on your checklist. Let’s explore on some of these spots perfect for relaxation and unwinding with families and friends.
Minalungao Park
Minalungao National Park is a protected area within General Tinio, Nueva Ecija and one of the few remaining natural environments in the region north of Metro Manila. Spanning over 2,000 hectares, it lures travelers with the sight of the emerald-colored Penaranda River that runs across most of the park and the towering limestone formations that border it. Adrenaline seekers also have a place in Minalungao as there are plenty of activities there that will give them their fix.
Dupinga River
Dupinga or Sabani is a remote area in the midst of Sierra Madre Mountains in Gabaldon, Nueva Ecija. The stunning place were surrounded by green trees, mountains, and the river and its rhythmic noise. The clear, fresh and refreshing scenery of running water, coming straight from the mountain of Sierra Madre, invites every one to have a dip and refresh from a long travel and problems.
Pantabangan Dam
This embankment is located at Pantabangan, Nueva Ecija. This provides water for irrigations and hydroelectric power generation while the lake serves as a reservoir to avoid flooding. Aside from that, it has a very tranquil scenery that is best for refreshing and unwinding from your common daily routine.
Also, it’s worth visiting as it has historical means. This dam was once a town, and if the water is very low, you’ll be able to see the cross above a church. In addition, this reservoir is one of the largest in Southeast Asia and one of the cleanest in the Philippines.
Antonio Luna’s Death Place Marker
Heroes are those who do good deeds. Doing what most doesn’t expect him/ her to do with good intentions. One of many heroes of the Philippines was killed in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija. Where there are crowds of people, there hides a sentimental place, and as a token of appreciation, a statue and a plaque was made for him.
Antonio Luna de San Pedro y Novicio Ancheta, Heneral Artikulo Uno/Taga-Ilog/The Fiery General, was a Filipino army general who fought in the Philippine–American War. Regarded as one of the fiercest generals of his time, he succeeded Artemio Ricarte as Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. Born on October 29, 1866 , at Binondo, Manila. He was assassinated on June 5, 1899 in front of cathedral (©Wikipedia).On the place where he was murdered, there stands a statue and a plaque to recognize his bravery for the people.
